What is The Difference Between SEO And SEM


Search engine optimization is one element of Search engine marketing. SEO is the process of optimizing your website with the specific keywords which you wish to target with, in a way that will make it easily “visible” by search engines. Some of the most common SEO tactics are:
1. Optimizing your website content with the targeted keywords

2. Optimizing the title of your pages

3. Targeting the keywords in domain names

4. Improving navigation and internal linking structure

5. Adding alt tags to images targeting the keywords SEM (Search engine marketing) is the process of promoting your website to search engines.

The aims behind most of these methods are to generate high quality and relevant backlinks which are pointed to your website. These links are called inbound links. Search engines take these factors and make your site rank high for the relevant keywords. The more back links you got from original quality content, the more important and relevant you are to Google’s search results.

Always do remember not to use spamming or black hat techniques which will give you quick results, but will end up with getting penalized by search engines, mainly in Google. make sure back links are created “Organically,” meaning that they are from high quality, relevant sites.

So no SEM campaign is complete without SEO.
SEO comes first no matter what is your intention is, even if you are promoting your website using paid advertisements SEO makes your site friendlier for both users and search engines.
